Platelet-Rich Plasma
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is a regenerative therapy that uses a patient’s own blood to promote healing and tissue repair. The process involves drawing a small amount of blood, which is then spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, the blood components that aid in clotting and tissue repair. This platelet-rich plasma is injected into the targeted area, such as the scalp for hair restoration, joints for pain relief, or skin for rejuvenation. PRP is popular in aesthetic medicine for its natural approach to stimulating hair growth, reducing wrinkles, and enhancing skin texture, as it utilizes the body’s own healing mechanisms.
Follicular Unit Extraction
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique used to treat hair loss. In FUE, individual hair follicles are extracted directly from the donor area, typically the back or sides of the scalp, using a specialized micro-punch tool. These follicles are then transplanted into areas with thinning or no hair. Unlike the older Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) method, which involves removing a strip of scalp tissue, FUE leaves minimal scarring and allows for a faster recovery. It is preferred for its precision, natural-looking results, and the ability to harvest follicles from other body parts if needed.
